First post, from the desk of kyle

I’m not sure who will read this blog, but I figure if you are you’ll be either, in my year at UWS school of med, in med somewhere else, in a year below me at uni, or considering doing med. So I guess you probably want to hear about what medicine’s like for us. I can’t speak for Matt or Karen but I figure I’ll probably just talk about what doing med is like for me

I thought I’d give a breakdown of what I’m doing at the moment study wise

In an average week:

  • Read one small textbook, this week it’s Psychopharmacology for Health Professionals
  • Learn the muscular anatomy of one region, this week it’s shoulder to the elbow
  • Do a LAMS study module (supposedly 5 hours, normally more like 10-15)
  • Doing half a page of the medicine curriculum, this week, it’s the first half of the second page of cardiology

That’s it for this post
