first update in a while
So we haven’t updated in a while. So shoot me. Actually, please don’t. I’ll blame it on the fact that I was waiting for AussieChica to update first, and it looks like she won’t be for a very long time…
So we’ve all finished exams at Newcastle, and now are anxiously awaiting our exam results (released on the 10th of December). Post exams is always funtimes, trying to procrastinate our time away. I complained about exams in my last post, so I’ll skip that.
Instead, I’ll talk about Common Week - preparation for third year that comes at the end of second year. We received lectures about health economics, health equity (and ethics), and also some time playing with opthalmoscopes and practicing CPR. It was interesting, but seemed fairly pointless - we spent only about 2 hours each day doing anything, and obviously I would have liked to have done more with my day each day. It was nice, however, to see other people in the course without the stresses of exams and studying hanging over our heads - people are so different when they’re not stressed!
I also attended the UWS medball on Sunday night - it was brilliant, and I love all the students from UWS. I would defect to their university if it was easier, and I wasn’t one year ahead of the extent of their course…
I really have very little to talk about currently - I’ll get my thoughts into order, and update further at some other point. Apologies for the long hiatus - I promise more will be forthcoming, and I think I’ll try and recruit someone else into posting too!
