and we all said…

*Click*.*Buzz* - Whirrrr - the sound of my CPAP machine invades the night.  Not only tonight, or this morning, but every night, since October 18th, the date of the beginning of our relationship.  It was love at first sight and though things have been a little fast and loose I’d say we’re nigh on stability about now.  We began sleeping together from day one, you see.

I didn’t plan to personify it quite so much, but there you go.  It’s 4:02am and counting, and I leave in 58 minutes.  I’m excited, there’s no doubt about it.  The excitement since realising I will never sleep in this house again (until nearly 2 months later which is an eternity for all I care!) has erased my memory of the past 3 days of anaemia from my mind.  Since waking up 35 minutes ago lightning has been at my fingertips (literally - I hate electric shocks) and one can only hope that it doesn’t bring the plane down.  I’m travelling to Bangkok.

The mask comes off slightly the face, and the rush of wind makes a harsh blowing noise against my cheek.  I always am afraid I’ll wake it up whenever I do that.  Sorry, little CPAP, but my nose is intensely itchy.  Like an army of ants marching towards honey.  And I’ve had a lot of honey lately - I ate it for breakfast yesterday, which finished the remainder of my bread, and bought two large jars of it today as gifts for my residence-inhabitants-to-be.   *Beep*. *Click* - Whirrr - and it starts again.

These few days have blended into one another, much like that dessert that Gloris makes where you whip the cream then add the powdered cocoa and make it chocolate mousse.  Possibly the whole anaemia effect.  But deep down I feel it’s just a sign that life trundles on like a some kind of grand machine.  Reverberations of Electric President.  I’ve tried to mellow over the past two weeks, which basically took the course of trying to study… then trying to finish Majora’s Mask via multiple avenues (Gamecube collector’s edition disk - freezes with rumble FAIL, again with the disk - freezes without rumble FAIL, getting my N64 back from George which he’s had since 1997 -  FAIL because I’m not in contact with him much, playing it on emulator - FAIL because I had no chance of finishing it before I left)… then ending up downloading and playing Combat Arms with a view to spending precious moments by playing a free online shooting game that tries to make you spend real money to buy a character skin of a young woman so others can kill what they would like to have sex with…

Selina left 3 plums out for us, on a plate.  She has one of our eggs in return.  Of course, last night she gave me a carton of Yogo chocolate custard, the kind that 3 year-olds love (maybe you love it too?), and on innumerous other occasions has treated us with pride and prejudice, which is not so abnormal, being older and all.  But anyway, tonight it means something a bit more special.  We are still a kind of family, after all.

*Click**Click**Beep*. *Click* -Whirrr - The gears move into place and the cogs turn and the machine springs to life like a younger man.
