Life without death

Have you ever thought about death as the part of life that gives it meaning?
The way it is now:
If we delay death, that is a good thing.
If we bring death closer, that is a bad thing.
If we achieve something, it is something we have managed to do before death that not everyone can achieve.
If we procrastinate, it is wasting our limited time.
If we do dangerous things, we can bring death closer.
When we die, that is the end of our experience of living.

If there was no death, there would be no point in doing anything. Ever. Because you’d have all the time in the world to do it. And everyone, eventually, would do everything, or, we would be stuck in a world where no-one is doing anything because of procrastination.
Where things that are very wrong today would happen because they aren’t dangerous because no-one can die. Where we don’t need to care for anyone else because nothing is bad because nothing is good.
Where nothing is an achievement because everyone can do everything.

If we never died, we would never experience what it is to live. Though it is definitely not normal to look forward to death, it also sucks to live forever.
Which is why I am happy that I won’t.

/end random rant.
