One year gone

Mana • Posted by Mana on November 10th, 2007

Lack of sleep is starting to catch up with me. Following the final exam (SAQ/MCQ) I had been awake for 24 hours, and then went out again later that night and stayed awake until 8:30 the next morning - making it a 44 hour stretch of not sleeping. Worst exam ever in my opinion.

Putting that aside now, I’m currently delayed at Adelaide Airport -_- waiting for my flight. Last night a group of us met at Lea-Ara’s and started to discuss the things, awesome and stupid, that had happened this past year. It seems like such a long time since year twelve but such a short time since orientation week at uni. Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess. Either that, or our memories remember it as shorter than it actually was because we want it to last forever.

These were the best days of my life… (okay, well, yes I think they were, and hopefully you’ll get the allusion.)

I won’t say what we discussed, but I will say that it has been really interesting to see which friendships have grown the strongest, which have ended, and which were really unexpected. I’m pretty sure through fault of my own that quite a few people if not quite a lot of people dislike me already, which is fine I guess. I’m also pretty sure that there are friendships that are going to last me a lifetime in here. Even if I repeat a year. Which might happen at this rate. Which would be really sad for me, because I’ve really enjoyed hanging around people in this year.

It’s also going to be sad if I don’t repeat a year because I know I am going to miss those that do being in my classes.

To everyone that has made this year what it is: thanks so much. This is indeed a once in a lifetime opportunity that I hope you cherish as much as I do.

Enjoy the break guys, and be ready for an awesome year next year too!
